FP Mahe 36 does just fine offshore.

Covered 6,744 miles in 54 days from LaRochelle France
1st leg from France to the Canarie Islands took 18 days and covered 1,637 miles

2nd leg from Canarie Islands to St. Martin took 23 days and covered 3,039 miles

3rd leg from St. Martin to Newport RI. USA took 13 days and covered 1,794 miles

2004 Athena in Fl @ 130k, Theres a 40/41 Catalac in NC for 110ish. Athenas for us seemed a little tight , galley, salon, heads, and berths all seemed tight, every boats a compromise though,,

What do you guys think about the Catana 381?

I have never seem one personally (sorry guys, not many big cats in Brazil), but most references I see around it are pretty good.

Just fro. What i have read I think they are fast, not sure in cruising trim. One concern is can you beach them? I know some boats with boards are really not recc for beaching. They are a more technical boat , i love the helm chair position. Not so sure about creature comforts though, the speed trade off may be worth the sacrifice

That is quite a good point Dulcesuenos! In fact I was asking myself what would happen to the botton after beaching, even on the finest sand...?
