XTide Has Higher Resolution Coastline Data

I noticed that with xtides I get a much higher resolution coastline data. I want this resolution in opencpn. This has nothing to do with charts. I am wondering if this is a configuration error on my part, or if other people experience it. In xtides tthe coastlines are black, in opencpn they are blue.

I realize this is not an issue if you have charts, but until I have charts of the whole world, I would like the highest resolution coastline data possible.

The default chart is merely a placeholder, whilst it actually serves to indicate the location of tidal stations in xtides. Btw there's an additional coastline file for xtides which youre probably using.
