Microsoft support for XP will end on April 9, 2019 - if you have POS edition.
Any XP version can be made to a POS edition by a small Registry script.

Anyhow, if you want to use your computer for
navigation and is used to XP and for that reason want to use XP, do not connect the computer to
internet and you will be able to use it for decades to come. I know about
commercial vessels still running proprietary ECS systems under first version of windows 95 today and the systems has not revived any updates since first installed when windows 95 was new, but they are of course not connected to
internet.
