Re: Weatherfax PLugin Not in settings

Pavel....

THANK YOU. The link you gave me to source forge worked fine and I now have weatherfax. The version I downloaded yesterday was from the Opencpn Downloads page (Weatherfax had changed position on the page and I assumed it was the latest version) which took me to the Source forge page - but the file I downloaded was version 3 instead of 3a.

Thank you everyone... mission accomplished.

Re: Weatherfax PLugin Not in settings

My Program Files (x86) \ Opencpn 4.0.0 \ plugins \ weatherfax_pi
directory seems to have a small program 'PVW32Con.exe'
It also has a data directory with
coordinates.xml
weatherfaxinternetRetrieval.xml
WeatherfaxSchedules.xml

I will put PVW32Con.exe in the 4.0 Win PI folder.
for you to try putting that in the folder.

Please let us know if this helps for Windows users.

Yes, the PVW32Con.exe program is needed because wxwidgets in windows can't open monochrom tiff files.

Now maybe this will change with wx3? It would be good to find out.

Re: Weatherfax PLugin Not in settings

Checked Sean's build and under the C-pack_packages directory ...win32\NSIS\weatherfax_pi-1.3-win32 it has

curllib.dll
libea32.dll
libsasl.dll
openldap.dll
portaudio_x86.dll
ssleay32.dll

And after installation those appeared in my opencpn directory.

So I think they all should work. Perhaps the PVW32Con.exe is not needed now.

Thanks Sean, I had forgotten that!
--So Majhire you will need that file in the folder indicated above.
--I think Paval will check his build to... I expect.

Re: Weatherfax PLugin Not in settings

I have deleted all the recent weatherfax_pi (ov4.0) install files under Opencpn Beta File Thingie under "Earlier PI" directory to eliminate confusion.

The only weatherfax_pi file there now is for OV3.2.2

"weatherfax_pi-1.3-ov3.2.2-h-win32.exe"

for Opencpn 3.2.2 users [who should upgrade to 4.0 IMHO!]
