Re: WeatherFax ...

Franks weather from the internet
Marine Weather Forecasts, Charts and Actuals on the Internet - Franks-Weather - The Weather Window

I think someone should put this together for inclusion with weatherfax_pi.
Simply need a list with the following for each weatherfax.
1. Server
2. Static URL
3. Title
We'll take it from there.

Baltic http://weather.mailasail.com/Franks-...ther-Forecasts
Western Med http://weather.mailasail.com/Franks-...-Mediterranean

Also France with 7 main regions http://www.meteofrance.com/prevision...arine/bulletin

Re: WeatherFax ...

Dear Uwe,

I would like to thankyou for your effort fixing the urls for everyone. It is efforts like yours that help us maintain* these* plugins and without your effort they would be useless!

I certainly appreciate the help!

Best Rick

Re: WeatherFax ...

Pavel's new addition PR#93 Quick update data version. Very Nice. Thank you Pavel!
Go to "Retrieve > Update Data Sources" will update the XML files for the plugin.

Need to test this with some changes, but it seems to download. Don't know if it updates programdata/opencpn/plugins/coordinatesets.xml though.

https://github.com/rgleason/weatherf...ag/1.7001abeta

This is using Pavel's PR#93 and his branch "Update-Data"

Re: WeatherFax ...

Lease on Life thanks for your testing of Pavel's improvement.
Sean and Pavel have made more minor improvements, and some major ones insofar as Continuous Integration and compling the plugin package.

For the next new version and some details about the Appeveyor Continuous Integration Process and how it works, see the thread
https://github.com/seandepagnier/wea...ment-365729824

and download here for the lastest commit:

Re: WeatherFax ...

After some initial troubles downloading and getting Norton to stop removing it, then override of norton warnings, it installed and worked well. Tested with just one image.
Thanks Sean and Pavel!

Very Nice System! Hope we can use it for the other plugins, it saves time, big time.

Looking at the latest discussions from WR thread, it looks like the next plugin to add to appveyor is obvious

Re: WeatherFax ...

Would we just adopt the appveyor.yml and travisci files for weather routing and make a PR for Sean?
I'll bet that will work. Will try tonight.

AppVeyor Continuous Integration - Step by Step for Windows

For Windows, use Appveyor.
Go to Sean's Github repository for weatherfax_pi, click on the Code Tab
https://github.com/seandepagnier/weatherfax_pi

Then Click on "322 Commits" Tab.
https://github.com/seandepagnier/wea...commits/master

Find the most recent commit. "yet more inlines"
Click on the Green Check at the end and the Continuous Integration Links for TravisCI and AppVeyor come up.

Click on AppVeyor "Details"
https://ci.appveyor.com/project/sean...i/build/1.0.13

The page will come up with the "Console" Tab.
Then to get to the download executable click on the "Artifacts" Tab.

You should then be able to download the weatherfax_pi-1.8.001-win32.exe

https://ci.appveyor.com/api/buildjob....001-win32.exe

Re: WeatherFax ...

Yes, why make things simple if we can make them overly complicated

Simply go to https://ci.appveyor.com/project/sean...uild/artifacts at any time for the latest build.

Re: WeatherFax ...

Agreed Pavel, but sometimes it helps if people understand the process. It helps to explain things and cement to concept.
