Waypoints outside!

Hello again,
One question, why, when I put a waypoint during a follow-up (no route) and clik on (Ctrl + M: Drop marker at current cursor position), the waypoint is the local where the my mouse is and is not on top of the trail made by the boat?
For example, the man overboard is on top of the track!
I think it is more logical that the mark (Ctrl + M: Drop marker at current cursor position), is on top of the track made during the trip!
What am I doing wrong?

The marker is dropped on cursor position (where your mouse is). That way you can mark locations anywhere on the map. The MOB is obviously where your boat is.

Yes, but imagine, if I put a waypoint in a place where the boat is going to be more easier, just clik on Ctrl + M
