Re: Watchdog Plugin

Latest WD from File Thingie hangs OpenCPN on my system. Latest version Jon put in this thread (yesterday 21:50) is working fine so far.

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Roel,
I would just do a single screenshot, cropped to show it. I think that would be enough to show the feature. I might get a chance to do it.

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Nav you are not using the current beta!!! Opencpn v 4.1.1317. Both plugins have that in their filename just to be very clear about it. I tested them both on opencpn v4.1.1317 and they work fine.

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Also WD runs ok now. In the language file I use (from CrowdIn, which is the correct one, I hope ....; if not point me to the right one please), the following strings are not present:
  • Configuration
  • Boundary Distance
  • Enable All Alarms (however, the pot file contains Enable Alarms)
  • Enabled only if Watchdog Dialog is visible (however, the pot file contains Enabled only if Dialog is visible)
  • Enabled after first time Watchdog Dialog is visible (however, the pot file contains Enabled first time Dialog is opened)
  • Disable All Alarms
  • Edit Alarm
  • Automatically Reset (the pot file contains the same, but with two spaces between the words)
  • Action

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Nav.

Don't know what this means "Also WD runs ok now"
When you say something does not work and I suggest something and ask what version of Opencpn you are using, then you don't answer and leave other messages elsewhere that it isn't working, so I next suggest you use the most current OpenCPN v4.1.1317 as a way to help you, and then you say this!

I won't communicate in this way any further. Sorry.

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Rick,
What I meant to say: I don't experience a problem anymore running WD on my system. I wasn't trying to blame anyone or anything.
I'm sorry that I obviously didn't express me correctly in English.

Also I was confused due to the availability of different versions on opencpn.org (for 4.1), File Thingie and in the threads of this forum.

Again: sorry!

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Ok, Thanks. I should understand this confusion better.

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Sean,

Attached is an updated (last pot on GIT) Dutch language file, because the
pot-file on CrowdIn is presently not up to date. You can put it in GIT if you wish.
Attached Files
File Type: doc watchdognl_24012016.po.doc (15.4 KB, 8 views)

Re: Watchdog Plugin

NAV,

is it possible to upload to crowdin? Otherwise I'm afraid this change may get overwritten when I update all the translations from crowdin.

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Hi,
I have just put up patch 1.9.026 which includes fixes for showing lines between the boat and the boundary that fired the alarm. This now works according to the settings on the configuration dialog. There is one effect that may be considered a bug, when the boat moves out of range of the boundary for which the alarm has been triggered the line connecting the boat and boundary will only disappear when the next screen refresh occurs. if nothing is changing on the screen this will take some time, if there are other objects that are causing screen refreshes then this line will go immediately, i.e. if the boat moves once it is outside the alarm range. I have tried forcing this, but without luck so far. But in the main I think the boundary distance alarm now works as would be expected.

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Jon,

Is there some reason you cannot trigger a refresh here if it's needed?

Sean,
I just did so, but I think the pot-file in CrowdIn is not up to data. On GIT a different version is present (newer and longer, I guess).

I'll check again, because I just noticed you've updated the files in GIT.

Re: Watchdog Plugin

Sean,
Found the issue and applied a patch for it. 1.9.028 fixes this issue.
