Vector chart problem

Hi All,
Would like to change from raster to vector but the navigation aids ID number is gigantic and not very useful. Is there any way to place a small number next to a light or buoy as on a raster chart? Or is there any way to edit the vector text strings to make them smaller.
Thanks in advance.

You need to check out the manual. Start with these two pages
Vector Charts | Official OpenCPN Homepage
Setting Options | Official OpenCPN Homepage

If you find this different from your installation, go to your toolbar-> About OpenCPN -> Help to get the manual for your installed version.
