Utilizing these Vexilar Sonar/Sounders

Hi all,

I'd love to utilize opencpn, a windows 8.1 tablet w/GPS (or a hockeypuck gps), and one of these affordable vexilar sonars (SP100, SP200, SP300) to turn my dinghy or small boat into a depth sounding machine in order to improve the quality of soundings available on openseamap.

Has anyone integrated with the wifi data stream coming from the vexilar units?

My thouhts are to use the VDR plugin the sounder and GPS data then upload those tracks to here OpenSeaMapÂ*–Â*Water Depths for all to benefit
