USB Ports and Sleep

Hi,
With ubuntu, after every sleep, the number of USB ports on the GPS and AIS change randomly. (/dev/ttyUSB0, or 1 or 2....)
So, It is necessary to change their number in the toolbox
What is the solution to assign a fixed USB number for GPS and AIS ?

eeepc + OpenCPN 2.5 + Unbuntu 10.11 + GPS mouse and AIS (with USB hub)

Re: USB ports and sleep

Seems like you need to read up on "udev".
This has not been discussed much but, check these two posts.
OpenCPN Version 2.5 Release
and OpenCPN Version 2.5 Release
Please report back, we may need to write some documentation about this problem!
