uploading charts

hi,

i'm new to opencpn. Downloaded latest version.

went to add chart directory. My directory is called CM93. Within it are subfolders named with numbers e.g 04500180. within these are subfolders named C, D and E and within these are files (which I assume are charts) with a .C suffix. Which directory or subdirectory (ies) should I add to the loaded . charts tab. These charts were given to me on a stick by a guy who assured me they were good and legal.

Thanks

N

Re: uploading charts

Just tell opencpn where the files are stored and Roberts your fathers brother.

Re: uploading charts

Based on the directory structure you described I believe the correct entry for your charts is ...\CM93\ After you add the directory click the box for "force full database rebuild" and you should be good to go. It seems to me that the chart additions are sometimes dependant on a restart so, if the charts don't show up after the database rebuild, try exiting and restarting O.

That is correct. I have an extremely similar setup, and this is how I have done it. Give OpenCPN the top level directory and it will find all of the charts under there.
