Transferring Marks from one computer to another

First, OpenCPN is a great program so thanks to the guys involved.

I am running OpenCpn on my Laptop as well as on my Netbook. I create routes and update to a folder using gpx no problem so that both computers are in sync with regards to the routes.

I have dropped marks onto various places on my laptop chart to identify places, marina's etc.

Question: Can I update as per the routes to a folder that is also read by my Netbook or do I have to update each chart on each computer separately.

Thanks for any input.

Try these files navobj files- where they are on your machine will be in the help button pop up window.

Think the xml.1 etc are just backups, I usually just copy them all across.

Thumbs up Re: Transferring Marks from one computer to another

19th July

Thanks for the couple of replies which helped me sort it out, in fact it turned out to be so easy. Just export the marks listed in the Waypoint column in Routes and Marks page and then import jt on the second computer just like the routes.

I now have OpenCPN synchronised exactly on both computers, now to tackle it on my Android tablet.
Thanks again

I hope this is more succinct and accurate.

Re: Transferring Marks from one computer to another

If you want to copy all waypoints or routes, you can also make a copy of the above mentioned navobject.xml file. Rename this copy to a .gpx file and import the waypoints, routes and/or tracks. This does all waypoints/routes/tracks in once.
The navobject.xml file is in in fact a .gpx file containing all waypoints/routes/tracks
