Re: TRACKER/FLYSPRAY: When and How to use it

Skipper...

After fixing, or otherwise disposing of a task, the devs generally mark a task as "Solution Pending" or "Implemented in current Beta".

"Solution Pending" means that a tentative solution has been implemented, and usually posted to the github source repository. It has at least been minimally verified by the developer on one or more platforms.

"Implemented in current Beta" is as stated.

If the problem is not reproducible by a dev, there will be comments appended to the task. Usually, these comments ask for more information....

Enough?

Thanks Dave for clarification. There are also many tasks marked as "assigned", some very old. Are they under development progress or just stuck waiting for the developer to find time?
I like the tracker/flyspray ! - great place to log issues but was not sure how the interpret the responses or get information on progress. Thanks again.

Re: TRACKER/FLYSPRAY: When and How to use it

The "assigned" status usually means nothing. Sometimes it means someone is working on the task.

Re: TRACKER/FLYSPRAY: When and How to use it

To simplify and reduce the number of Freature Request Items to below 100, I would like to do the following:

1. Remove all Tracker items that have no Vote, and are more than 2 years old. (about 40 items)

2. Remove all Tracker items that have only one Vote, and are more than 3 years old. (I will also review each one and decide if it merits being retained.) (about 40 items)

Thomas

When I log out of Tracker in the menubar I see Overview and tasklist
This does not change when using the interface to see tasks.

When I log into Tracker the menubar expands to more selections instantly.
This must be some browser problem. Has he tried clearing his cache?

So you have the same problem... In post 8 AISEAG says this:

A) Check your Tracker-profile by clicking on your name on the top left hanside;

B) Be sure that "Email" is selected in the field "Notify Type";

Save your modifications before quitting the screen

Who is the maintainer of FLYSPRAY? Something in the user database is wrong, it needs to be fixed.

Re: TRACKER/FLYSPRAY: When and How to use it

Dirk I have been helping as an admin, but this notification change may have changed with the update. that Dave [bdbcat] did not so long ago. I will investigate to see if there is something I can do. Thanks

Re: TRACKER/FLYSPRAY: When and How to use it

Dirk, here is what I have access to under Admin Toolbox
Notifications Tabro
"Force Task Notifications as"

- Never Send (Selected)
- Let each user choose
- Email
- Jabber

I could change it to "Let each user choose" or just "Email" but I don't want to end up disturbing a bunch of users.

I must say that the email notifications come from webmaster at ____ and the user name is rooiedirk

Perhaps it is best if Dave [Bdbcat] will advise before we make any changes!

Rick/Dirk...

OK, I guess that is fixed now. Not well documented by Flyspray...
