Track width on anchor watch too wide

When the track is displayed at large zoom levels, the width of the track is so wide it obliterates the detailed track information.

Attached pix show the track while I was at anchored on a ledge of 25 ft depth but dropped off to 150 fee as the boat swung off the ledge. The anchor watch track is not very definitive.

The pix show the display with the cm93 chart and another chart I made as an overlay using GE2KAP. In the latter case it is possible to zoom in more than on cm93.

Is it possible to change the width of the track?

Go into Settings / ETC tab, turn off "Highlight Tracks".
And don't ask me what this feature is there for, because I don't have a clue

Re: Track width on anchor watch too wide

Jesper...

The track width is about 20 M, which is an estimate of GPS positioning accuracy and chart resolution. If the track width touches a rock, so may you if you are following the track blindly.

If you are positioned on the track line, all you can really say is that you are probably somewhere within the highlighted band.

Let us not forget that most of the charts we use were compiled years ago, with crude instrumentation. Super accurate GPS will not fix that.

And overzooming on a GE2KAP chart is a scary thought. Do you really trust GoogleEarth georeferencing at the metre range?

Anyway, turn it off if you don't like it.
