Tide graph size

Please help this simpleton...

OpenCPN on Windows 10 laptop (but happened in Vista too) running 4.8.8 and then updating to 4.99.

After a few changes of font sizes etc in User Interface, to make things bigger and clearer I have now ended up with tide graphs extremely tiny and unreadable.

I can make the current tide height any size or colour. But the yellow/blue bar graph is so small it is almost invisible. When I do right click on it, I get the tide graph but in a very compressed size. I can manually stretch it out to any size and then see all the information. But as soon as I close the box, when I open it again it is in compressed size.

I have been through the User Interface many times, and consulted the help manual, but I can't rectify this issue.

Can anyone please advise how to solve?

Thank you!

Re: Tide graph size

In the options - UI look for scaling chart objects and try it.

Read the manual section by doing a search for chart objects scale

Re: Tide graph size

Thank you so much for your reply.
I tried that, and it unfortunately made no difference to the graphs. I think it did increase the size of the depth values

Yes, I think it does look like that. I am attaching some photos of the screen, showing the small size of the bar graph, the unreadable line graph and the line graph after I have used the mouse to stretch the graph back to more normal size.

When I first installed 4.99, I *think* that the graphs were normal size. Then I changed some font sizes in User Interface (eg for route and leg information, status bar and maybe some others) and now the tide information has shrunk. I don't know if I caused this with my adjustments of other fonts.
I increased the chart scale factor to +5 and the depth soundings increased but the tide information did not.

Up until about a week ago, I was running version 4 8.8 on an old Vista laptop. I am sure that I had the same issue, so I don't think it is a new bug in 4.99Click image for larger version

Re: Tide graph size

Dirk...

This is two separate issues.
I have corrected the tide/current icon scaling logic in FS#2474.

Now to take a look at the TCWin sizing.

Thanks
Dave

Re: Tide graph size

Just to follow up on this.
Installation of latest version appears to have fixed the issue completely, even with chart scale factor set back to zero.
Thank you

Re: Tide graph size

Installed 4.99.1426 and issue has returned...
Tide bar graph icon is correct (?) size but right click on it shows a graph very compressed in size.
Increasing chart scale factor makes the bar graph icon bigger but has no effect on the tide graph
