Thanks useful tip, SA is what I need too, but the latest version of WXTide that I downloaded does not include a harmonic file, the .idx is there I guess they have changed the format. I'll go hunting later.

Re: The Most Popular Feature Requests

1) Print out facility for Route Properties and Tracks. Helps with passage planning.

2) Configurable multi-NMEA inputs with Garmin protocol where possible

3) Ability to fully zoom mixed CM93/.kap charts. Currently not possible to zoom out without de-selecting the .kap chartlet.

Post #6:
split chart display, for the general view and the closer zoom

This is the only thing I really miss in the program.

Re: The Most Popular Feature Requests

1) Furuno GPS support
2) Different plan speeds for each leg of a route
3) General GRIB enhancements. Additional data layers from GFS model, perhaps GRIB/Fax overlay, animation, and planning (showing estimated location in time with GRIBs through a route).

As a side note, a lot of stuff with regards to GRIBs and routing could be done by merging in some way with Blue Water Racing, which does fairly sophisticated routing already. It's possible the two programs could be linked via plugin somehow.

Re: The Most Popular Feature Requests

All these have to do with chart management and veiwing:
  1. User definable chart categories. Way to toggle on/off by category. In FS somewhere. This could help organize pilot charts, Google Earth charts, etc. Also handy for transparent overlays.
  2. Transparent overlays. To overlay Google Earth images over charts, or pilot charts over nav charts, etc. (also in FS somewhere)
  3. A. Dual monitor or multiple session support. Or B. Split screen. Or both.

For multiple sessions, of course second session should not try to open COM ports, etc., but piggyback off first session. To make it more fun, first session should be able to be closed without affecting second session. I guess, COMs and that sort of thing probably needs to be a separate service that is kicked off, so sessions would be independent. Sorry, I'm sure you don't need me to suggest this kinda stuff, I was just thinking out-loud.

Re: The Most Popular Feature Requests

1. GRIB readability (fine color barbs, rain) and navigation (after file selection, reduce dialog to just 3 buttons: Previous, Now, Next)
2. Export/Import GPX to/from other systems (selective: WPT, TRK, RTE, no GUID)
3. Allow fine-grain tracking

Re: The Most Popular Feature Requests

After messing with the NGA charts:
- grouping and enabling/disabling group of charts is an issue
- transparent overlays/blending would help as well
- the next organizing feature are parallel windows/panes - already voted in this thread
