Stuck in Overzoom

OpenCPN was working brilliantly in my old laptop but it just died. I can get OpenCPN to startup in my new Win7 Pro 64 notebook but the screen freezes in Overzoom mode and nothing I do will correct it.


The Overzoom warning appears when I am in a very small scale (east coast USA) and the warning is displayed after 2 or 3 clicks of the zoom + button. An immediate click of the zoom - button does not correct the issue. Nothing I try will correct the problem and no chart is displayed.

I have searched the forums and help manuals without success. Any ideas?

I just installed bu-353s4 gps receiver and my open cpn 4.0.0 did the same thing. I shut it down and reinstalled the gps receiver and it is working fine. I am pretty slow when it comes to computer stuff, but this worked for me.
