Statusbar Plugin - how to configure?

Okay things may not work quite as one might expect, however most of the settings are saved. Here is a summary as best I can determine at this time:

I can change Preferences from Options > Plugins close the preferences window, close Opencpn and then open it again and most of the changes are saved except

Transparancy, color, background color, invert background, blur font.

Additionally under Font there is a color selection which may be redundant or the same(???)

None of the above are saved. Font seems to be saved.

Under Dropdown "SELECT" there are choices such as

Default
Ownship
Multiline

I have added values to the end of Default and Multiline and those values are retained.

Also I notice that the font and background colors don't seen to get saved, but when I go into Preferences and pick a color, they are found for some reason.
