Re: Software to Introduce Hypertext Links in OpenCPN Waypoints

Robert/Nohal..

Here is yet another situation where '&' is stripped by OCPN causing an aborted download of an important .gpx track file from SpotWalla when using the convenience of a POI.

This simple URL when placed in the browser entry area presents a download box for the .gpx
http://spotwalla.com/download.php?id...d582cc&fmt=GPX

Try entering the same URL in the content of a POI and it all crashes. Viewing the executing URL at the top of the page reveals that the '&' has been removed.

Substituting the '&' for '&' finally works.

How many other programs will have problems with this '&' exclusion I wonder?

Tore

Sinbad, this is why MarinePoi replaces all "&" with "&" automatically in the gpx file.

Hi everyone, seems like this is a very interesting forum. I’m a newbie here and hopefully I’ll be able to participate in some threads/discussions since I like to discuss things that I am familiar with. I want to share my learnings and hopefully learn from all of you. I’m almost excited here.
