Well, if this is the case in OpenCON, I will remove the limitation to 6 links in MarinePoi too ...

However, remember there is a bug in OpenCPN if the internet link includes "&" and may be also some other special characters.

Robert...
I somehow missed it, could you explain me what the bug is? Or is it in flyspray?

Pavel

The bug is in Flyspray : FS#667 : Waypoint with "&" or "&" in "additional informations" links

You can try this version of MarinePoi, with 50 links limit (unzip and replace in "program files/marinepoi folder": http://upload.plaisance-pratique.com...-MarinePoi.zip

May be this could help : Pratiques et Techniques de la Plaisance

Remember, if the mouse flies over buttons, a help comment appears.

I understand your position ... but I can't promise a major userfriendly improvement within a short time lapse.

Anyway, I fixed the question about the 6 links in the latest version today.

Regards.

Re: Software to Introduce Hypertext Links in OpenCPN Waypoints

Thank you Robert,

It works well. I can open exPOIs and can create the new ones. However, one of the problems persists: I can open web links but not the files in my pc.

Here is the eror message at OCPN log file:

11:55:50 AM: Error: Failed to open URL "file://C:\Users\Borax\Desktop\santorini.jpg" in default browser. (error -2147467259: belirtilmemis hata)
11:55:50 AM: Warning: Could not launch the default browser with url 'file://C:\Users\Borax\Desktop\santorini.jpg' !

My default browser is google crom.
I can open files dragging on GECrom icon without any problem.

Regards,

This probably relates to OpenCPN.

1 Can you open the image links with using MarinePoi? Remember, for MarinePoi your image file must be in the same directory (folder) as the "gpx file (i.e. as the cyclade.gpx)

2 Are you shure "santorini.jpg" is in the folder "C:\Users\Borax\Desktop\" when OpenCPN calls the image ?

You probably did not define which is the default software to display jpg images.

(right click on a jpg image, select "always open with" ... and choose the software you like)

A preview of the new mark info dialog implementation... As I've already touched this part of the code, feel free to post any other feature request regarding this functionality until I forget how it works again

A better processing for "amperstamp", specially for "&" without the suffix "amp;" because billions of them are in use on the web ...

Re: Software to Introduce Hypertext Links in OpenCPN Waypoints

Robert...
As I wrote in flyspray: a GPX file containing & not encoded as & is broken, not valid XML and should be refused as such. Try to open such a file in for example Firefox or any validating XML editor. If it will be acceptable performance-wise, I will try to detect such errors and correct them before parsing the contents, but can't promise anything.

Re: Software to Introduce Hypertext Links in OpenCPN Waypoints

OK, for those interested, https://github.com/nohal/OpenCPN/com...cbfd095737d75d is what I came with to try to fix the malformed GPX files before they are loaded by the XML parser. If you want to try if it solves the problems with the files you have, the windows exe is at http://opencpn.xtr.cz/opencpn.exe - just replace the one installed with 2.6.1310
If it does not work for you, please post the GPX file involved.
Bear on mind, that this is a snapshot of development code and received very close to no testing, so backup your data if you want it to survive...

Pavel
