Slow Route & Mark Manager

Good day all
In the last few days I have been heavily editing my routes in preparation for summer cruising.
I am running 4.8.4 build 2018-04-21 - new installation on a new machine.
At the beginning everything was fine, then I noticed an increasing delay in opening Route & Mark manager window after pressing its button in the bar.
At the moment the delay is up to 15 seconds, even if no route is loaded.

Any idea why it happens and how can it be solved?
