SAMSUNG GALAXY 10.1 AND OPENCPN

Finally received my Galaxy USB/SD connection kit today sent 27 Nov from Los Angeles. I am using the USB kit for my bluetooth ´dongle´ and also for a 16GB pendrive for various heavy storage purpose. The SD card kit,up to 32GB is for the moment just used for music.

Using the bluetooth mouse is a pleasure and works with all my apps as well as when I connect to my laptop via PocketCloud over Wi-Fi,or TeamViewer via LAN if I do´nt have internet, otherwise via my normal Wi-Fi network.

OpenCPN works a treat and no fingerprints on the Tab screen....

An extra bonus with the bluetooth mouse is that you can cover up your Tab in any type of transparent, protective plast to protect it from spray. Without the mouse, you need a material with special qualities to simulate your fingertips.

For other, resident Android navigation programs,I use my USB pendrive to only download the charts I need for the durrent cruise, deleting them afterwards. This way I keep the storage requirements on my Tab to a minimum, leaving space for the many FREE apps available.

Here´s a few screenshots of the tablet installation...

A little quirk to note when controlling the laptop with the tab.

You actually have TWO mouse pointers, one from your bluetooth mouse, the other meant for finger control. You just use your bluetooth mouse pointer as your finger to move the resident mouse pointer around for all controld. Perhaps there´s a way to avoid this but I have´nt found out yet.

This is the same for bothe PocketCloud and TeamViewer.

Re: SAMSUNG GALAXY 10.1 AND OPENCPN

Hi Tore, I also use Samsung Galaxy 10.1 and NetBook Win7 and get excellent results via internet. I follow your posts on TeamViewer and PocketCloud. May be missed but may I ask how do you configure LAN of WiFi on the Note and/or PC?
