How are you getting the air temp data - a sensor(?) to UART then your UART->USB?

Is this the HDMIPI screen you are using? HDMIPi.com | Make A Full HD 15.6 inch Screen for $32 for your Raspberry Pi, DSLR or Video Camera | Just another WordPress site

What "Graphic repeater" and screen are you using?

thanks!

Is there a schematic available for the board?

Any ideas when a pass through might be implemented?

(I really like the idea of "one" box for it all..)
I will have to put together a block diagram to properly document how things are connected. PM me if you want to see the full schematic.

In a nutshell:
  • Serial 1 is mirroring what is sent to the RPi, physically the pins are connected to the MCU and RPi header (RX->UART0_TXD, TX->UART0_RXD0, 5V)
  • Serial 2 is connected to the MCU. This is where I intend to support GPS and other sources for pass through data.
  • I2C is directly wired to the RPi header, pins 1 (3V3), 3 (GPIO2, SDA1) and 5 (GPIO2, SCL1)
Pass-through of NMEA sentences is on the top of my list. I'm done with the necessary refactoring of my serial I/O library, so it shouldn't be too far out. But I'm developing dAISy besides a full-time job, which makes it challenging to promise and keep deadlines.

Re: Rpi OpenCPN System - recommendations

You can use a $5 BME280 sensor for temperature, humidity and pressure readings. I have a write-up and code on including it to Raspberry Pi and a Signal K network.
