Removing MOB Marker

I just d/l'd OpenCPN for Ubuntu, and it seems install went OK.

Being the type of person who just dives in and figures the manual can help if I screw up, I start playing with it.

One of the first things I did was drop a MOB marker, and then a second one.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get rid of the darn things. The instruction manual advises to:
The temporary route can be deleted, in the normal way, but no action of the user with the mouse or keyboard will move or delete the MOB mark, except for opening the Route/Waypoint manager to delete the mark(s).
So what is "the normal way" (can't find that) and I tried opening the Route/Waypoint manager, and see nothing there that will remove the MOB marker.

See screenshots attached.

Am I missing something?

Solved!!!

Doing a further search (actually I stumbled across it) a posting appears:

Open ‘Route Manager’
1) Open ‘Route’
Click ‘Temporary MOB Route ‘ and delete
2) Open ‘Waypoint’
Click ‘Man Over Board’ at ss/mm/hh and delete

And never again !!!

yep, I know what you mean. I takes a lot of keystrokes to delete it thats for sure! I had the same problem but figured it out myself... afer a half hour of playing. Seems like being able to hover over it, right click and see the drop down menu with the option to "delete MOB marker" makes a lot more sense. But what do I know... it's free so I cant complain too much. Better than I could do thats for sure.
I'd also like to see the anchor icon in the menu bar at the top to do the anchor watch thing. It used to be there then it was gone, so I don't know who voted it out but I think in is better.

I think that you just proved that the MOB feature works as designed

This feature is not designed for planning, or armchair navigation, but for a real emergency.

Think about this....I you were the man in the water, would you like the idea that a slightly panicky crew member, with minimal knowledge in handling OpenCPN, by mistake managed to delete the mob marker?

The whole idea is to make it, more or less, impossible to move or delete the mob marker, by mistake.

That is exactly why this a bad idea:

After 5 minutes with the manual it's easy enough to get rid of the mark.

As far as I know, there has never been an anchor icon in OpenCPN:s
menu bar.

I think if yuou just go straight to Waypoints and delete the MOB waypoint, then the Temp MOB Route is also cleared at the same time
