Problem with osenc fingerprint file on RPI

Hello,
I try to create a fingerprint file för oesenc charts via the plug-in (ver 2.9.1526, ocpn is ver 5). I press the "Create system identifier file"-button and it seem to work for a while but comes back with "DONGLE_NOT_PRESENT". I don't have a dongle and are not trying to use one either...
Pressing "Show on disk" deesn't show anything.
This is my backup system that I recently upgraded to ocpn ver 5. I haven't used oesenc charts with it up to now and have no System ID on o-charts. When I created the System ID för my main system last year all was fine.
Any ideas?

Cheers P

Yes, please answer to the the mail from o-charts from this morning...

the question are:

"Are you following offline or online method to get your charts?

Are you using stable or beta repositories?"

You will see most probably some missing lib in the log.

Re: Problem with osenc fingerprint file on RPI

Hi,
Online or offline doesn't matter in this case. I'm not able to generate the fingerprint file which is necessary in both cases.
Don't know about repositories but the versions are as above: ocpn 5.o and oesenc_pi 2.9.1526.
What mail from o-charts are you referring to?

May we see your log file?

You can forward it to o-charts as well if you like so.

(the remark about an e-mail from this morning was mix-up with a different user from you, sorry about that)

Sorry for your eyes but that was the quickest way to get the log on the forum!🤓
What about the missing GLIBXX_3.4.21 ?

Re: Problem with osenc fingerprint file on RPI

The quickest way to post the log (or the conf) is the "?" button and pasting the log directly here. Or attaching it to a mail. We might find other details then easier.

Anyhow, the main suspect is installing the plug-in from the wrong PPA. One that does not match the OCPN version. Looks like some mix up with the oeSENC plug-in prepared for the upcoming USB dongle for portable chart sets.

Under investigation...
The main investigator is off shore right now.

No access to mail account on the rpi...
Mismatch between ocpn version and pi sounds probable. As I said I used Openplotters update function for both. Don’t know what they’re linked against.

That is a really old OpenPlotter version. This is based on Rasbian Jessie and I am afraid you will have lots of problems with opencpn 5, oeSENC plugin and others apps.

I recommend you to wait some weeks for OpenPlotter v2.x.x and update your system.

hedgehog...

Is OpenCPN V5 running well otherwise on your installation? If so, I can get you a quick patch today if necessary...

Hedgehog....

To help in debugging, will you run the following line in a terminal on your RPI, and report results:

$strings /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libstdc++.so.6 | grep GLIB

Thanks
