Problem with AIS

Hello to everybody!

I would like to thank all the people who were/are some how connected to OCPN software... It's the best!

But now about the problem I have.
I'm trying to connect my AIS to my laptop but with OCPN it's just not working.
When I'm tying to see the NMEA messages then the window is empty.
I was trying to get just a GPS data from AIS but still nothing.
I've tried to change the ports (USB converter) and I have tried to get data via com (RS232) but still nothing.
AIS I got AIS information (and GPS data) to chart plotter without any problems and in my computer ONLY Chart Navigator Pro is accepting the AIS and GPS data.
The OCPN works fine with external USB-GPS module but no AIS.

Any suggestions?

Op: XP SP3
AIS: Comar CSB200

With Regards,

Taage

Re: Problem with AIS

As you mentioned no bauds used, I bet it is there.

It is not an OpenCPN issue, you must get the data to the interface up first. Check bauds on the talker hardware. You will sort it out in no time.

Let us know how it goes.

Re: Problem with AIS

Try all the diiferent baud because mine works on the slow one. (A weird reason to do with Raymarine liking their unit to be hooked to one of their chart plotters)
