Plug-in Developer's Example Request

I'm trying to fix & extend a plug-in for OpenCPN for a new piece of navigational equipment we're trialling - an ePelorus.

Repository is here if anyone's interested

It has examples of receiving and processing NMEA, drawing things on top of the chart, mouse rollover support and so on.

My fork fixes a few items.

What I'd like to do is (a) drop a track point at fix derived from the eP unit, separate from the normal GPS track and possibly (b) join track points.

I think at least one of the classes I need is RoutePoint but I can't even include it ( maybe that's to do with the CMakeLists.txt ) at the moment. Of course I could just code splodges and lines on the chart but that doesn't quite follow the spirit of OOP ;-)

An example of dropping one or two routepoints and maybe joining them would be ideal, but any hints, pointers to examples or documentation would be welcome!
