Like you I can see nothing in the log that suggests an error, OCPN appears to exit correctly.

I am not sure you have helped by giving these files a .doc extension when they are really .zip files. The log file unpacks to a .pdf when it is really a .doc file. The conf file unpacks to a .txt file. This may have prevented someone from being able to take a look at the contents. If I download them and try to open them otherwise it fails.

Ah I now see you were advised to add the .doc extension.

Re: OS Raspberry specific RPI

I am trying to install ocpn on my pi3. Generally going well. Two issues :
1. How to get real time clock to update from vesper/GPS feed via USB?

2.headless connection to iPad works thru router/vesper but not direct. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

If you use OpenPlotter 1.0.2 you have Linux Stretch, OpenCPN installed, Wifi wireless Access point, Kplex multiplexer, VNC server etc. etc.

You can use the Raspberry Pi Desktop wireless on any other system with a VNCclient installed. Works also on a Chromebook. Or you can use the data via the Raspberry with navigation sytem on another systeem. Then only the data is transferred to the other system.

Bram

Big +1

For and all round boat computer system nothing matches the versatility of openplotter on *any* platform .
