OPN requires MarinePlotter to open charts

I have tried to install OPN on two window 10 based PC and one Windows 7 based PC. In two cases I was required to install MarinePlotter in order to view and access 1210 TR and Bowditch Bay. On the third (a Microsoft Surface Pro Windows 10) it would not allow installation of MarinePlotter. Has anyone else faced this problem and may have a solution?

MarinePlotter is a free commercial software via the Microsoft store. When I attempted to install OPN 5.0 the Microsoft store pop-up identified I needed MarinePlotter

What is "OPN 5.0"? Is it OpenCPN 5.0? What does Microsoft Store have to do with it? You simply download the installer from https://opencpn.org/OpenCPN/info/downloadopencpn.html and run it, that's all.

Don't go anywhere near the MS store for anything, anythibg at all, get it straight from source. In OpenCPN's case get it from opencpn.org . I suspect that if there is a version on the MS store it is somebody trying to make a buck on a free product or simply that MS is associating the search with something that it can sell.
