opencpn will not run

I install on Mipis Linux_64. The mouse shows it was starting but nothing happens, the mouse returns to normal. No folder for opencpn was created in home/user.

There are no log or conf files so how do I find out what's wrong. What else do you need to know to help?

Try opening a terminal window and starting opencpn from there, and see if you get any meaningful error message.

Happened to me as well.
Try uninstalling & reloading.
Down load newest version.

Tried the terminal and here is what it showed:
opencpn: /lib/libc.so.6: version 'GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by opencpn)

Mepis uses libc6 version 2.11.3-3. The highest debian version I can find is 2.13.33
So where is version 2.14??

Uninstalling & reloading changes nothing. I'm using the latest version of OpenCPN

Ubuntu is now using libc6 2.15....., but trying to find and install 2.14 will probably lead you to a lot of dependency problems.

Surprise!! I also put this on the Mepis forum and they built it. For those using Linux this is one reason to try Mepis. So I have OpenCPN up and running. Thanks for all the Help

Great! I had a look at the Mepi forum. Looks good. Can you get us a good link to the packages, or the correct line for the repro?
We want links to all available packages for all different Linux distros on the download page.
