OpenCPN Weather Routing rtace on the land

Hi all and first of all my best compliment for OpenCPN.
I'm new to this software and I would like to use it for weather routing, but after installed everything, I'm not able to obtain a route that doesn't cross the land. I have a MacBookPro and using last version of OPenCPN.
It's possible that is a matter of setup?

AFAIK the weather routing is using the background charts to check for landfall. Make sure you have them installed and with the highest possible level of detail.

Thanks Rooiedirk. I've found a background chart with OpenCPN installation file with no details. Is possible there is another file with a better definition to download? How can I switch from the background chart to the other charts I have installed?

the high resolution background chart:

to be placed into the GSHHS directory of your OCPN install.

This type of chart has a pixel resolution of about 90m.
Smaller island (< 2pixels) can be omitted

Wow. Thank you BCN. Now it goes perfectly. I'll try to improve confidence with OpenCPN as it seems to be really a great stuff. Probably I will need some more help with boat setup. I have build up polars file (HR36MKII white sails and gennaker if somebody need) from HR speed diagram, but I don't know how affordable they are.
