Re: OpenCPN Version 4.6.0 Released

Brucechun..

did you try to "prepare all ENC charts"?
4.6 has a different internal file format for ENCs and charts have to be prepared again.
Can take some time depending on your system and the number of charts.

If you don't run the batch prepare charts will be prepared on demand for the zone you are just zooming in.

Re: OpenCPN Version 4.6.0 Released

Hi,

I have just tried to download OpenCPN Version 4.6.0, from the official www site. After the download is complete my virus scanner identifies that there might be viruses, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs. The virus scanner then deletes the download. Please could someone advise if it is possible that the download on the OpenCPN could be infected. Many thanks, Kholley.

If you get the install file here: https://opencpn.org/OpenCPN/info/downloadopencpn.html

It is not infected by a virus. Some virus scanners are not very smart.

Re: OpenCPN Version 4.6.0 Released

Just started using 4.6 on Mac (both os10.7 and os10.12). When try to access properties on a new route, ocpn bombs completely, back to the desktop. based on this thread, i tried without using OpenGL. Still bombs.

Re: OpenCPN Version 4.6.0 Released

Eric,

please post the crash dump shown by macOS.
On a MAC here no problem editing routes under 4.6

Does that happen with all routes?
What if you create a new one, editing it afterwards?

Until fixed, I need an install of 4.4 for Macintosh Computers, preferably recent OS. Does anyone have one?

Re: OpenCPN Version 4.6.0 Released

You can either attach a file (use Text Edit and then rename the file attaching a ".doc" ending ) using the paper clip from the editing window. Will open a second window, select and upload.

Or just copy and paste the dump into your post. In this case it is recommend to put the content into "code" brackets.

[.code]

your text

[./code] In both brackets without the "."
