Pavel,

HTTPS does not work either. Since git does not work for wxwidgets either this points to Digicel meddling. Doesn't this relate even remotely to restraint of trade or something? Anyway, downloaded successfully from zipball/master. Same animal isn't it?

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1723

Phil...
The easiest to install is the one from the PPA on launchpad, to be found at https://launchpad.net/~nohal/+archive/opencpn
Note: this is my private PPA and contains the latest development version, which is very stable and close to release now, but will track the bleeding edge of the development once we release OpenCPN 3.0 in the next days. If you want the most stable version we have now, just download and install https://launchpad.net/~nohal/+archive/opencpn/+files/opencpn_2.6.1729-0%7Emaverick1_i386.deb or https://launchpad.net/~nohal/+archive/opencpn/+files/opencpn_2.6.1729-0%7Emaverick1_amd64.deb depending on your architecture. It should pull in all the packages it needs automatically.

Armido...
Yes, it's the same code, just automatically zipped by github servers. All these problems relate to the telcos being (insert your favorite word for people not caring about what you need) as far as I can tell

Pavel,

Installed "tor" for Android. Works like a charm! No problem using git now.
