Hubert, I am trying to fix this. I think there are two different problems at the same time and I think I fixed one of them. Could you test on your system? Download http://journeyman.se/opencpn/opencpn_screen_blit.exe and see if it fixes any of the issues.

(And remember to download to temp directory and then copy into program directory You have to rename the downloaded file to opencpn.exe too.)

Yes, this does the job for me. And tested on XP too, where it does not break anything neither - apparently. In both cases with OpenGL On/Off.

The object query issue: is the patched dll dated from 06/05/2012 9:36?
If yes, it does not solve the problem for the lighthouses, neither under W7 nor under XP. Sorry

Great! Dunno about the DLL date, the important thing is that it is version 2.8.12.0 and no something lower.

Where is the version info hidden? The compiled dll does not show in (human) readable form in Notepad++

Ok, problem solved - the 2.8.12.0 dll does it.

Haha I could use that. It's frickin' boring here in Uruguay, low season in the city and about 5 cruisers in the little marina.... But otoh that's why I have time to spend on OpeCPN.

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1718

Pavel..

During the installation of the past two versions of opencpn I have received messages that several .dll files could not be installed and were skipped. After that the program installed normally and seems to function ok. I don´t feel happy running an incomplete opencpn. What should I do,a fresh new installation, deleting the old version.

sinbad7...

Can you capture a screen shot, or tell us which dlls are questioned?

Also, any more information or status on your post:

quote:
Chart name changes are not reflected in the Opencpn map display!
I had previously named three charts Rio-1,Rio-2 and Rio-3.
I changed them to Rio-A,Rio-B and Rio-C and did a Force full database Rebuild but no changes took place. Even starting opencpn again did not make the change???

We cannot reproduce this problem, if we understand it correctly.
