MooseMoney...
How far is the mark from your boat? The option is available in the right-click menu just if the mark is less than a mile away from the boat... And it works for me.

It is necessary that the boat was on the mark or around. It work also for me.

bcn, HappySeagull: Thanks for reporting, these bugs are fixed for the next RC Dave is putting out soon. If you go back a couple of pages in this thread you find a link to a DLL file which fixes the object query layout.

The garbage position bug needs a source patch and recompile, there is a link to the patch in Flyspray but the next RC is coming out soon so probably not worth the effort for you.

Thanks,
/j

Jesper,

I did patch the wxmsw28u_html_vc_custom.dll , restarting OpenCPN then, but that did not do the trick. Behavior still the same. See #89 as well.

Cheers

Another glitch (W7, OpenGL only):

Waypoint marks, tool tip window: text is ghosted (has several panned grayed out copies) when you approach the cursor the second or more times to the mark.
The first time is ok, if you alternate to another waypoint and then return back ok again - until you try a second time in the actual one.

So you probably have serveral installations or something, and the system is loading the older dll from somewhere before it sees the newer one you downloaded. We could try to figure out from where, but I really don't think it is worth the effort since it is 99% sure it is fixed in next RC release. Let's wait for that, and if you still get a broken layout we can go hunting for it.

Windows7 quirck: if you download a dll directly into a directory in the programs part, it will just not do it "to protect you (=the system)" without telling.
And obviously the dll is still the former one....

So I can assume your object query dialog is now working then ;-)
Very good.

(By the way yes UAC is a pain, be glad you are not running Vista )

Font list entries:

There is a side effect of the Font management module, which may relate to your problem.

One must actually display something in a particular Font List category (ChartText, Console Legend, Console Value, etc.) in order for the item to appear in the list for the first time. Thereafter, the item should stay in the list and be available for editing.

For Example: You may not see the Font List entry for "AIS Rollover" unless you have actually displayed an AIS Rollover message at least once.

Of course, if you re-install OpenCPN, or start with a new config file, there may be limited entries in the FontList.

Does this help?

Dave
Absolutely! Problem solved, thanks a lot

I can reproduce this in OpenGL mode on crowded displays. Double tooltips on top of each other. Feels like a timing problem, mouseover/out events missed or something.

I downloaded the 3 files pot.

I go foreign until Tuesday. If I can do translations and internet access while traveling, I will send the po files before. Otherwise, it will be done next Tuesday.

Exactly. It's not just double tooltips. Some times some lines/vector are visible semitransparent as well.

Can't reproduce this in XP on the other machine though.
