Notes:
196. This is experimental....probably won't help dimmer range on Vista/Win7 in OpenGL mode, and may be an agravation.
Has anyone experience with other dimmers available on the web for OpenGL mode?

198. After some thought, I decided not to summarily delete empty groups. You can make them, but not switch to them. Which on second thought seems kind of dumb....Comments?

199./206 Developers: PlugIns do not need to be rebuilt to 108 API unless you want/need dynamic toolbar bitmaps. I will need it for Radar Overlay PlugIn....

201. [Settings/Others] CurrentArrowScale=(0..100)

204. There may be some dialog box colour changes here. Comments?

205. Pavel, tell us how "user harmonics files" works, please.

207. Experimental, untested on real hardware. Add a line to config file [Settings]...GPSIdent=FurunoGP3X.
Furuno users please test if possible.

208. A big architectural change in vector chart symbolization. I'll let JesperWe explain it. There is a work project involved, and I hope you like the progress so far.....

209. Incomplete. Area Notices received by AIS are noted cartographically, but we don't yet have a way to query the specifics of the Notice. This is work-in-process.

As you can see, there are big changes in this Beta. I would not be surprised if we experience some regression problems. Please be patient, if so.

Please do not forget to check and update "Your" Flyspray issues.
Lacking feedback, I will be summarily dismissing some older tasks as "Finished" if I cannot reproduce them.

Some notes about "my" features included in this release:

183. Settable default icon implemented - (FS#762)
Default icon for newly created waypoints is now customizable in the config file.
In the [Settings/Others] section set the option DefaultWPIcon to one of [empty, airplane, anchorage, anchor, boarding, boundary, bouy1, bouy2, campfire, camping, coral, fishhaven, fishing, fish, floating, food, fuel, greenlite, kelp, light, light1, litevessel, mob, mooring, oilbouy, platform, redgreenlite, redlite, rock1, rock2, sand, scuba, shoal, snag, square, triangle, diamond, circle, wreck1, wreck2, xmblue, xmblue_, xmgreen, xmgreen_, xmred, xmred_, activepoint] values representing the default set of built-in icons or to a filename of any of your UserIcons, without the the path and .xpm extension. If you have a file called MyICON.xpm in the user icons folder, the value will be simply MyICON

201. Add option to customize current arrows size.
In the [Settings/Others] section you can set the option CurrentArrowScale to a positive number representing a percentage scaling factor of the current arrows. The values bellow 100 mean the arrows will be smaller than now, the values above 100 will cause them to be bigger.

CurrentArrowScale=200

205. Implement user definable Tide/Currents harmonic files.
Create a folder UserTCData in your user data folder. Under this subfolder you can then create any number of subfolders, each containing the HARMONIC/HARMONIC.IDX file pair with different data.
The datasets can then be switched in the Toolbox

Hope you can understand how these things work - as some of you already know, I'm not exactly the best documentation author sailing this planet

Some display problem (Vista) with ou without OpenGL for CM93 after clean install.

Install log, ini and log in zipped folder (remove .doc)

PS .kap charts seem fine (hang on OpenGL as previously)

PS2 : no improvement using old S52RADZ...

PS3 : using new S52RADZ on a 2.5.0 parallel install works fine

I try BSB2 chart (old SHOM chart) and now, it seem tha all is Ok with OpenGL, without OpenGL, with quilting On and with quilting Off.

Don't know exactly... I like this one better...

To be honest, after a couple of install / desinstall of the current beta and the 2.5.0 version, the display suddently got fine.
I am under the impression that with parallel install, the S57 folder that is accessed is not always the right one when swiching between versions...

To be more specific...
When using the beta version (in OpenCpn folder), I do not seem to be able to access the s57 folder in the OpenCpn folder (therefore I cannot access the S52 file), as per the ini file.
S57DataLocation=C:\\Program Files\\OpenCPN\\s57data

Now if change the ini file to point to the parallel 2.5.0 version, I can access the s57 folder and the S52 file therein...
S57DataLocation=C:\\Program Files\\OpenCPN 2.5.0\\s57data

Now renaming the beta folder as OpenCPN 2.6.1624 and pointing to it in the ini file

I agree. I thought this might become a problem on this Beta.
I plan to rework the directory location hints given in the config file. They are vestigial code, and not really needed any more.

Anyone with related trouble, in config file, please delete key:

[Directories]
S57DataLocation

This will cause OCPN to look in the "normal" place for data files, and should work for both regular and portable application.

I have the same problem with the CM93 ed 2009.
I rebuilt the data base but nothing better !
I delete the line "S57DataLocation" nothing better.

???

This morning it was working with the CM93. So I did not understand the problem of Sailor54. But I had an old folder OpenCPN250. Just before having the same problem as Sailor54, I deleted the old folder. and that's when I had the same problem as Sailor54.

I just replace the old directory, leaving only the folder openCPN_250/S57data. And now, OCPN 26-1624 works again fine.

Deleting S57DataLocation does not solve the problem I have
(see also my previous post just above)

I am having trouble with this one. Every time I add any second cm93 chart set, my PC hangs midway scanning the charts, 100% CPU, no disk activity, no changes on the screen. Each chart set works fine, as long as it is the only cm93 chart set. Is it just me??

I am hoping to be able to select an empty chart group, or have a menu item "no charts". Sometimes the chart is too cluttered, when I really only want to see details of a grib or kmz overlay. Also see post http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...tml#post936732
