Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

Well, it works the new version 2.6.1624 but load heavily with ENC S57. I have lots of memory but it was better with the previous version. I will check more carefully and let you know.

SailorF54....
More detail, please:

cm93 version.
OpenGL?
Windows? W7? Vista?
Mode: Base/Standard/Others/MarinersStandard?

I cannot make much headway with a screenshot and comment "Bad display". Looks OK to me, for some mode setups. What is it supposed to look like?

Thanks
Dave

I am not shure that the problem is in cm93 version or w version or in Base/Standard .. or OpenGL.

I thing that there is in the 26-1624 a "link" to go on an old folder OpenCPN_2.5.0 that we have in our PC.

Read my posts in previous page.

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

Pavel & Dave

Some comments on Pavels improvements. Lots of good ideas
#183 Works, but I don't like the idea that users can select the MOB icon as default. That can lead to a big mess!
#201 Works as advertised.
#205. I can see all my data sets in the Toolbox, but only the default works.
For the others, the tide button refuses to become "active", and I get this line in the log
Quote:
18:40:49 CEST: Chart1::Event...TCMgr Not Available
I don't suspect the data sets as such, as I earlier have tested most of them, as replacement for the default files.

From my limited testing it seems that what I get onscreen is some default rendering one gets when the S52 file is missing (i.e. it makes no difference whether I delete the S52 file or not in the s57 folder). Note e.g. the mix of simplified and other symbols AND THE TOTAL LACK OF COLOURS
cm93 2011-1
Both with and without OpenGL
Mariners Standard
Vista for me, reported on a French forum with W7
---------------
This pic is what I get for base / simplified / 4 colors / CM details = 0 settings

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

sailorF54....

OK, lets go about this step by step...

in the config file, add the following:

Code:
[Directories]
PresentationLibraryData=C:\Program Files\OpenCPN\s57data\S52RAZDS.RLE
Also, delete any line with S57DataLocation=

This will shift you back to the Legacy PLIB mode.

Lets see if this works first.

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

Thomas/Dirk

multiple cm93 bug:
I see the problem. Workaround for now:

We need at least three files in this dir
/opt/navigation/Charts/CM93/Cm93 jan 2011/00900840/A

Note that I pulled this file name from Thomas's log. Dirk, yours will be similar. Show us your log if you can't find it.

There is only one file in that dir right now.
Second and third file name can be anything, and can be junk.

so,

Code:
$touch /opt/navigation/Charts/CM93/Cm93 jan 2011/00900840/A/junk1

$touch /opt/navigation/Charts/CM93/Cm93 jan 2011/00900840/A/junk2
Also need to do the same for the other two cm93 roots.

Root cause of problem: Fetching dir/file names iteratively in code depends on the order in which they were written to disk. Mine appear to be jumbled up, so no problem. Yours are nice and regular, so we have some trouble distinguishing among the three cm93 root dirs.

I'll have a fix patch shortly.

Dirk, are you on Windows?

Sorry...Sigh....

Gilletarom....

You have two entries for "PresentationLibraryData=" in your .ini file. Please delete the empty one.

Thanks
