Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1125

...definitely repeatable. As soon as "Overzoom" appeared on the CM93 type,I'm stuck.OpenGL or not.I can change any charts,I can drag any charts, but I can't zoom in or out.
Using a mouse this time.Wheel function.but it doesn't matter what settings in toolbox(OpenGL off etc.etc)-zoom too far in on the CM93,and I'm stuck.Doesn't happen with rasters
(XP)
relevant to:
OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1125

above??

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1125

OK, first: I have been a stupid luser. I D/Ld the release version. So, my previous post was for the wrong version.

But, now that I've done some testing on the same version the rest of you are testing:

I tested the Dutch charts.
  • I can confirm the orange color artifact.
  • There appears to maybe be a font that isn't being rendered correctly? Zoomed out it makes it look like most of the detail is gone. Zoomed in, you can see little black bars that look suspiciously like they should be words.
  • I did not get the same memory problems as last time.
  • At one point I zoomed out and got repeated green outlines. I kept zooming out and got even more. See attached image.
  • After zooming back in, it started trying to ingest the same chart multiple times. Any movement on the screen triggered it again. Exited program and when I came back in, the chart displayed fine (did not ingest again)
  • Sometimes the ingest dialog shows invalid number as total items. Like 7298/5. Always seems to be a 5.
  • The ingest dialog box only shows the file name for a second at the start. Would be nice if it stayed. I had to go through many iterations of ingesting before I could figure what chart was multi-ingesting. It was 1R5WV114.000, but I really don't think it was the chart itself causing the problem.
  • It seems to take almost a minute for the OpenCPN process to go away after exiting. That is, it appears to close down totally, but still shows as a process for 45 seconds to a minute.

log, ini and screen shots w/descriptions of the above can be found here:

Dacust, that'd make a nice album cover!

a REALLY new install on an XP machine(no OpenGL) doesn't exhibit my strange zoom behaviour....hmmm.

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1125

Hi
It seams 2.6.1125 can't open a link in way points additional information if the link
refers to a local pc address
the same data works in 2.5.0

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1125

anyone else?
stuck cm93 zoom problemnly on the Dell420 so far.T42 ,it hasn't happened.

BUT, I note a new setting in the ini file "Extreme zoom".I changed it to 0 and problem fixed.
did I miss something?oh well.

Here are settings for stuck zoom ....
FRESH install(config folder Deleted)Default install settings except transparent toolbar.
OpenGL off.Smooth zoom off.No layers no plugins. No mouse.
Problem:with cm93 chart aboard, zoom in with + key until it won't zoom anymore. Now,can't get back out any way I try.Can change charts to Rasters and change amongst them and the scale changes per chart but no zoom.
Shutdown. No mention in log because no crash.Nothing in ini file because nothing written.Restart ok

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1125

Dave
Dan is right , the problem comes from a blank character in the URL witch is apparently not accepted by the wxExecute() function in routeprop.cpp
nevertheless , you can find above a small file with an URL who do not work
Unfortunately , my user account has this character , so all my file has an address unaccepted.

regards
Jean Pierre

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1125

spaces are NoGo...true.If I insert a space anywhere into working links(of course at both ends-the file and the link) it's the browser's error page I get.

Using CODE tags helps the readability... In advanced mode editing, it's the # sign.

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1125

Ptizef

Try
Code:
<link href="file:\\\C:\PorquerollesPoi\Notre%20Dame.jpg">
instead. The key is to replace spaces with "%20". This works for me. If the slashes are "/" or "\", and if you have two or three slashes to start with seems to matter less (tested on XP)
