The documentation has not been updated in 2.3.1, but as always, the latest version can be downloaded here:

An aside on links to and in the wiki

Some links and pages to and in the opencn wiki are labelled ://opencpn.org, others are ://www.opencpn.org
On my setup of Firefox under Vista at least, the ://opencpn.org links fail.
I am vaguely aware of a way to automatically generate alternative www adress from those that lack it, but even then I would not use, as my website is francois.lonchamp.free.fr NOT www.francois.lonchamp.free.fr ...

Both variants work for me. This is actually down to a server-side setting, which may or may not redirect requests with a www to the non-www address and vice-versa..

When will this be reflected on Download OpenCPN | Official OpenCPN Homepage (http://www.opencpn.org/download)?

Thank you for another release of OpenCPN!
I adopted the archlinux AUR package, which is now containing 2.3.1 - archlinux users can grab it here: AUR (en) - opencpn

hope Dave is enjoying the out islands - and relaxing without the rest of us bugging him via wifi! He's sure earned it.

Thanks for the fast bug fix. Here's a note for the installer - if OCPN is already pinned to the start menu (XP) and the installer box is checked to add a shortcut to the start menu, it leaves the previous version's shortcut in the start menu and doesn't add a new one. Of course the previous one can't be found and won't start up.

minor - just a note for next version.

My mistake. It's listed as a stable release. I was expecting to find it as a beta.

OpenCPN Version 2.3.1 Bug

Well, time to launch the boat tomorrow. So I fired up OCPN checking harbor entrances and find I keep getting thrown out of chart quilting. Here's the sequence:

I'm using NOAA raster charts of Lake Michigan.
Focus on Hammond Marina (extreme SW of Lake Michigan near Calumet Harbor).
Go up or down in scale to cycle through the available charts.
Every time I pass through chart 14926 chart quilting goes off.

It's a skewed chart which may have something to do with it, although I thought skewed charts now worked.

These are straight NOAA downloads BTW. not home brews.

Hi,Bluegillboy.See:
http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...nic-57650.html
it may be that these charts have no skew info.It may be that these are Polyconics...so,unfortunately,quilting may be a problem.

I see that polyconics are still not working, is there a fix in the works for the 2.4 release? Or some workaround? As you can see, the preview of the chart shows OK.

Cheers

This is a known bug in 2.3.1, that has been fixed in 2.4.324.
Have a look at the latest beta.
