I have downloaded one file which has to incorporate all of these charts.

Here I download the file : Totaal.zip (84 Mo)

Without quilting, a chart both, OpenCPN 607a operates.

But with enabled quilting it does not operate. And crash.

I install 607a one another, the same crash is appeared

Active Chart Directories

Hi all,

A few users asked to change the Active Chart Directories text box (in Options->Charts ) to something more easy/clear to use.
I tried to change it to a ListBox (with multiselect enabled), here is the patch.

Comments welcome ;-)

Can you be more specific about which location/charts cause a crash.? Perhaps you could attach your logfile just after a crash. Any other information would be most useful to me.

Thanks
Dave

This in the morning, I resumed the complete installation of OpenCPN 210-607a. Thus, I renamed the older installation in program file and in application data.

And then I run opencpn_210_setup.exe for install another OpenCPN 210-607a. Thus, I have an any new installation OK ?

Then I installed the Netherland charts. And all is good without quilting. See attach zip file

opencpn_210-607a-ENC_Nederland_No_quilting.doc
with opencpn.ini and opencpn.log

Then I choice "Enable quilting" on.
And then, OpenCPN run normally a few moment and finally, crash. See atach zip file

opencpn_210-607a-ENC_Nederland_With_quilting.doc
with opencpn.ini and opoencpn.log

(Change .doc in .zip please)

And here three jpeg screen shot.

More problems with some Dutch IENCs

Dave,
I can confirm the crash Bart has reported. When trying to isolate the problematic charts I found yet another problem that crashes OpenCPN in a different way...
* I have only the 5 1R5WK0* charts installed for testing this.
* Log from rebuilding the database follows
* No chart outlines are visible
* When hitting F9, the crash on the screenshot occurs

SethDart,

first of all let me thank you for this patch!
It is really one of the points that needed some improvement.

I really would like to test it, but ...
I am a Non-Linuxer (Windows only). Nevertheless I tried to patch the files on my Linux webspace (but without success, rejected 11 of 13 hunks).

So may I ask for uploading or linking to the patched files?
If I have the patched versions I'll compile a Windows version (and offer it for downloading).

Many thanks,
Gunther

Hi Gunther,

Dave accepted this patch, it should be pushed to CVS soon. It applies cleanly on current CVS, are you using "patch -p0 <{path_to_patch}" ?
Anyway, here are both files patched.
| include_options.h.doc = include/options.h
| src_options.cpp.doc = src/options.cpp

BTW, I'm currently playing on GRIB interface: add previous & next buttons to ease navigation in data, as well as changing the Tree to a ComboBox. The problem is it can navigate only on one file at a time so "GRIB File Directory" should be changed to "GRIB File" Is it of any use to navigate more than one file at once?

I need some advice here ;-) Thanks a lot.
