Nice one Dave. Thanks to you and all of the team for all your work. I have recruited quite a few new users over the last year with a couple of workshops at the local club and by telling clients about it. Once they get over the initial learning curve with getting charts and setting up the connections they become big fans.

I have version 1.0.25 installed on my Samsung Note 2. Could not find the user manual listed on Google Play. Opened O and went to the 'Help' link. Was asked if I wanted to install the OpenCPN Help (which is listed as the OpenCPN User Manual) from Google PlayStore. Said 'Yes'. Got warning "Your device isn't compatible with this version"

I don't do GoogleAppStore here anymore, found it caused too many problems on my smartphones, and Google screwed up a number of my email accounts with their incessant feature upgrades and re-auth request that I disabled it on my phones, if I would have 'root'I would have deleted it completely.


I have needed a couple APPS and I've been able to find the at places like APKpure.co' APK123.com Aptiode.com and apkmirror.co, download the to my smartphone OR my laptop, save/transfer the APK file to the phone and install it.


I've run across several apps the REQUIRE APPStore to be installed, but have been able to make do without those apps...


Use OpenCPN on my Ubuntu (Linux) Laptop here.
