I need to buy a Dell tablet, should I install Opecpn on a tablet that works in Windows RT?

I will leave it to the experts on OpenCPN to confirm, but Windows RT is not a resounding success.

The only solution not to install OpenCPN on a tablet is Windows RT. If you for some reason need Windows on it, you have to get some tablet with real Windows on it, like MS Surface Pro or Dell Latitude 10 Essentials or whatever else there is. An expensive way not to use an Android device with Linux and learning the bits needed I would say...

There are lots of tablets that are running real windows 8........why bother with RT?

If you want/need Windows, get a tablet with Windows 8. NOT with Windows RT.

Iconia W3, 7 inches, full Windows 8, EUR 330. There is also a 10 inch Asus at around EUR 400.
