The current build is being worked on, please download the most recent DMG file (1.3.2) at sourceforge for the time being.

Look for the link 'Download here' a few messages back in this thread.

I'm not really involved in OpenCPN development so I cannot answer your other questions.

This time I moved the copies of the libs in my local install of WX to another location. This way I could test the result. It works here...
Erwin,

Please upload this (as a beta? Psyches, any comments?) to and edit the http://opencpn.org/download page. I've setup your account to be able to edit the page.

Thanks,

Will

Thanks, Will. Sounds like a fine idea to me - early beta seems appropriate in project context.

Erwin, feel free to consider yourself officially really involved...if you want. re: your last post: http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...tml#post394430

If you'll post or email me your work, I'll get it into cvs. Build notes / comments with all source code patches, etc just fine for now. As you've probably noticed we probably need to tweak our build setup anyway.

I'm getting crashes of the following sort (with Erwin's Beta):
http://robertwyatt.info/fink/opencpn...A-crashlog.txt

Keep up the good work! I'm happy to help by providing more information or trying out solutions.

However with the 1.3.0 version on the OpenCPN site I have wxWidgets Debug Alerts:

/Users/richard/wxMac-2.8.8/src/mac/carbon/bitmap.cpp(1166): assert "Ok() && (rect.x >= )) && (rect.y >= 0) && (rect.x+rect.width <= GetWidth()) && (rect.y+rect.height <= GetHeight())" failed in GetSubBitmap(): invalid bitmap or bitmap region
Do you want to stop the program?
You can also choose [Cancel] to suppress further warnings.

(I have no user named richard.)

Thanks!
Robert

Thanks-a-lot, but....

Thanks a lot, guys, for your work on OpenCPN.
I have just try your .app, and what happens is : - seems to work, load my CM93, all good, but exits roughly after a few seconds/mins...
Hope you'll find a solution…

At the request of user Jallum here, I've put up the opencpn-1.3.4. tree that includes the Xcode project definition here.

It requires a built and installed version of the wx dynamic libraries. I think the current projects refers to something inside '/Users/erwin/...', that needs to be replaced.

Well, "Jallum" kept at it and a 1.3.6 release candidate is now available on OpenCPN.org.
I hope that all Mac users will thoroughly test this package.
Thank you, "Erwin", for all your effort!

Notes on 1.3.6 RC

Failing a better place to do this, and concerned about creating unnecessary bug reports, I am going to list here the issues I see testing 1.3.6 RC on a C2D MBP running 10.6.2.

1) The chart window is firmly attached to the upper left corner of the screen. It can be resized but not minimized (no red, yellow, green buttons)

2) The chart info box in the toolbar doesn't run to the right side of the window - instead it starts to repeat

3) After selecting the help icon on the toolbar, the license tab doesn't have any license info in it and the help tab fails to open the help documentation in a browser (the help docs are not in the application package).

As always, please feel free to contact me if there is anything I can contribute.

Greg

Hi Erwin, Dankje wel for putting that link in. We have several machines on board, one is a MBP and normally for nave we use a windblows machine. I use C-Map the most common thing out there, and also Sea Clear, mainly for AIS, I always said, "If C-map could read AIS i would be in heaven" SO I am going to try out tis CPN, and see if the Snow Leopard build works on Tiger. Will keep you posted.

Hi Erwin,

tried the same but until today without success. Can you proivde a binary which works unter Snow Leopard? Or can I bother you with my questions to compile OpenCPN myself?

thanks in advance for your answer!

kind regards
