OpenCPN on a Kobo e-Book Reader

Many apologies if this has already been addressed - I searched for "Kobo" but didn't find anything. At any rate, I am wondering whether anyone has gotten OpenCPN to run on a Kobe eBook reader. I am not sure about powering a BU-353 USB GPS from its micro-USB port. I think I could live with the monochrome display and slow refresh rate of an e-Ink display. Sunlight-viewable and cheap is my hope.

Re: OpenCPN on a Kobo e-Book Reader

I asked recently (see thread http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...tor-59672.html) if it was possible to use a Kindle for the same reasons
( Daylight viewable, etc.) but it seems not very easy to do if at all. I would have hoped it would be possible to use the device just as a display from a laptop running Opencpn.

Thanks Tony. I'll move over to that thread.
