OpenCPN not dispaying data from LWE multicast GPS

Thanks. I haven't seen the 4.1 version before. Explains a lot.
And conachair's nice test proof O accepts the "new" fields as a valid RMC, good.
So what's left is to evaluate the network protocol of 61162-450?

Excuses for the delay, internet has been real slow onboard last two days.

Wireshark files are to big and forum doesn't accept rar files so Hubert I will send the files to info@o-charts.org.


Meanwhile my own "Gateway" program is now able to connect to the LWE multicast. Before I was using (Indy) TIdUDPServer, for the multicast you need to use TIdIPMCastClient (Multicastgroup 239.192.0.4, bindings 0.0.0.0/60004 depending on which data you want to connect to).

I do have a problem with RMC due to the extra field but that's easy to solve.
