OpenCPN Loses Configuration

This not very frequent but it happens from time to time.

I am running Lubuntu.

Today when I started my PC and started OpenCPN, it seems that OpenCPN thinks this is the first time I run it, that is all my previous settings are lost. I have checked the log file, which shows that the previous OpenCPN session was closed properly. The config file seems ok, by a first glance.

Any suggestions?
