Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

Question for SethDart about AIS abbreviations:

Medical Transport = M/T, I assume. But if so, what is Med/V?

According to src/ais.cpp:
Med/V = Medical Transport
M/V = Cargo Ship
M/T = Tanker

You can find all these strings here:
SourceForge - opencpn/opencpn/blob - src/ais.cpp
around line 195 you have ais_type for long version
and line 251 short_ais_type for the short version.

Look at the figures to the right to find matches

Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

Hello Dave or SethDart,

I uploaded the source code OpenCPN. But in the plugin folder of plug-in dashboard seems to be the old pot.
Therefore there is no new items. Missing at least these:
Appearence,
Show this dashbord,
Caption

Is it possible to update the pot so that we can do the translations?

Thank you in advance

Best regards

Gilletarom

Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

Hi,

Here's the updated pot. You can do it yourself with this command (dunno how it behaves on MS Windows)

Code:
[jeo@desktop build]$ make dashboard-pot-update
Then eventually
Code:
[jeo@desktop build]$ make dashboard-po-update
to synchronise every po with new pot.

I guess we should not expect this to be up to date as we're in beta phase and token string will probably change.

Regards,
Jean-Eudes

Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

The further improved Dutch language files for OpenCPN 2.4.0 build 310, including the files for the plug ins.

Remark: the text element drop down box in the Toolbox still shows both the English and the translated items.

Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

Ok, version 412 brought a few new abbreviations that I don't understand:

HW =
LW =
LMT @ Location = Limit at location?
wgsox =
wgsoy =

Anyone got some explanation to these?

Short version above. Check the CM93 Offset Dialog, right click cm93 when in non-quilting mode.

Re: OpenCPN Internationalization ( i18n )

A few lines that still are missing from the .PO files:

In: Toolbox->GPS tab->NMEA Datasource:
All lines in the dropdown selection curtain.

In: Toolbox->GPS tab->Autopilot Output Port:
All lines in the dropdown selection curtain. In: Toolbox->AIS->AIS Data Port:
All lines in the dropdown selection curtain.

There are 1 or more lines that should be translatable e.g: "None", AIS Port (shared), Network GPSD.
