OpenCPN - Great, But . . .

Since upgrading to 2.5, I have had the ship position stop responding on occasion after the program has been running for some hours, Win7 is the OS. Also, had to delete the tracks etc stored under the ProgramData folder to get the program to run again.. While I am at it, it would be great to be able to select either "magnetic" or "true". This seems to be missing compared to Maxsea. Another "would like to have" is the abilty to read NMEA via TCP / IP, like Maxsea can.

use com2TCP on windows or remserial on linux
it can emulate the serial port
