Re: OpenCPN General

Hans-Olof..
We're so sorry but as you may know Fugawi decided to shut there chart shop last year. OCPN plugin for Fugawi Charts, ofc_pi, is though maintained to allow the use of charts bought before that.
What's you status? Do you have charts on your system bought last year or are you trying to buy new?
For info I get the same error message when starting a download of a chart file on "my account": "Error parsing index.xml" It may indicate Fugawi.com has shut down something on there's server.

Fugawi did message they would maintain "our" part of the server until a period of time after the shop closure. But I don't remember for how long. Hubert?

Re: OpenCPN General

Re:Fugawi

Fugawi shall maintain the server (and support) until November, 30th this year.
Only for existing licenses and chart sets. I don't know if they do any updates to charts - in the case of the Swedish Solteknik raster charts for sure not.
This would allow for example to install an existing license to a new device still.

From the OpenCPN side the ofc plug-in is unmodified since end of last year and we have no chance to test anything.

Hans-Olof, what did you try and what happened exactly?

Hubert

Thanks Kevin and Carcode. I have taken some steps to get the download checked. Hope that works.
Also, I just downloaded it and all 47mb came down very fast. I think you need a better internet connection perhaps?

Re: OpenCPN General

Hans-Olaf...

Sorry for the trouble with Fugawi Charts plugin. Apparently, the Fugawi server made some small change to the format of stored catalogs, requiring an update to the OpenCPN Plugin for Windows.

That update has been made and published. The revised OpenCPN Fugawi Charts Plugin is now available as Version 1.1.720 from the opencpn.org download page.

Good Luck

Re: OpenCPN General

Hi,
I just started using opencpn.
The import of the listed charts is ok, it works well.
But the the charts from openseamaps (.KAT) I couldn't import.
So long I couldn't find a tutorial or a disruption to import these files.
Could someone help or send a link?
Thanks so much

Dave..
Installing charts not previously downloaded now works fine.

Updating/over writing already existing charts ends up with:

"Error parsing index.xml"

Hans-Olof..
Please make a try on your machine. My test environment may be "screwed up" and not worth an extensive error finding now.
Thanks
Håkan
