Previous posts have discussed persistent naming of USB connections in linux
, but I am having trouble finding these.
I keep loosing auto pilot / radio/ echo sounder connection through common USB to serial
My main source of GPS
fix is through GPSD. (other sources from UDP with a lesser priority)
The problem being when booting or reconnecting the AP/R/ES above, GPSD takes control of it and no USB connection is seen in the drop down usb box.(I see the incoming sentences from echo sounder in the NMEA
debug window as GPSD)
The only way I can get it working is delete or deactivate all connections then install USB first, once this is working connect GPSD.
This problem has only surfaced since connecting input from sounder.
When this connection was only a listener no problems occurred.
Can some one please help with instructions (again) on making USB persistent??
Tried the old google
and got some answers but not concrete results.
